Bizarre Shadow-Batting Run-Out Sinks Bathinda Royals in SherEPunjab T20 Thriller 🏏

What a game we've got here, folks! In match 8 of the SherEPunjab T20 League, one of the strangest dismissals I've seen all season decided a nail-biter.

The Incident That Stopped Show

Chasing 206 against the Jalandhar Warriors, Bathinda Royals' Noorveer Singh pulled off the most peculiar run-out you'll see tdy. He faced the last ball of the 14th over, then went into shadow-batting stance—thinking the over was done. But bowler Abhinav Sharma wasn't having it; he hurled the ball at the stumps for a direct hit. The third umpire's replays were crystal clear: Noorveer was well outside his crease. Out he went for a modest 10 off 7, ending a tidy 50-run stand with Uday Saharan. Talk about a moment of absent-mindedness!

Why It Cost Them

That wicket was the breakthrough the Warriors needed. The very next over, Bathinda lost another, and their scoring rate dipped hard. Despite Uday Saharan's magnificent 86 off 43 and Shahbaz Singh Sandhu's quick 26 off 13, the Royals fell agonizingly short—losing by just 3 runs in a last-over thriller.

Prabhsimran's Century Powers Warriors

Earlier, the Warriors, after losing the toss, raced to 205 all out. Captain Prabhsimran Singh was the star, notching his second consecutive ton—110 off 56 with 10 fours and 7 sixes. He rescued them from 62/3 in the 9th over with an 118-run partnership with Aryan Yadav (39 off 19). A hattrick from Ashwani Kumar (4/35) wrapped it up, though the Warriors oddly collapsed from 180/3 to 205 with three balls remaining.

All in all, that bizarre no-brainer dismissal by Noorveer might just be the turning point of this contest. What a game to finish the week on! 🍽️
