‘How do you lead?’: Babar Azam’s ‘authority’ questioned after PCB shake-up

🏏 'Horrible!' — Babar's Authority Under Fire After PCB's Shocking Test Shakeup

Namaste, cricket lovers! 🙏 Let me paint you a picture of chaos that's unfolding in the Pakistan dressing room — and honestly, it reads more like a Bollywood drama than sport.

The Big Shakeup

After losing the opening two Tests against England, the PCB went on a roaming — sending 7 players home mid-series. Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, and Imam Haq all got the boot, plus coaches Sarfaraz Ahmed and Umar Gul. Mike Hesson steps in to guide the side for the final Test at Edgbaston, starting Sept 9.

Why It's 'Horrible'

Former England cap Michael Atherton didn't hold back on the Sky Sports podcast. He called it a "horrible position" for Babar and questioned whether any Pakistan captain truly wields authority within this setup.

"This is no way to manage players and no way to build a long-term vision," Atherton said, warning the damage could linger long after the series ends.

Former captain Rashid Latif went even further, calling Babar a "dummy captain" and saying he should have resigned.

Babar's Tough Return

The 31-yr-old reclaimed the Test cap earlier this year after beating Bangladesh. He missed the 1st Test via injury but returned at Lord's — yet scored just 8 & 6 as England won by 194 runs, taking a 2-0 lead.

My Take 💭

A captain needs respect and a voice. But when the board can reshuffle a squad overnight, where does that leave the leader on the pitch? Can Babar rebuild authority from the wreckage? The final Test at Edgbaston should be very interesting.

What do you think, team? Should Babar stand firm, or is the PCB's move too damaging? Let's discuss! 🌟
