KS Bharat To Feature In ILT20 Development Tournament Fourth Edition

Development Tournament Returns: KS Bharat Among Those Set to Shine Before ILT20 Auction

The rhythm of a new campaign begins to beat once more. The squads for the fourth edition of the DP World ILT20 Development Tournament have been finalized following the Player Draft on 2 Sep, with six teams representing the parent franchises. The tournament opens on 14 Sep at the ICC Academy, Dubai, bringing together the UAE's most promising talent in a single-league, round-robin format.

For many of these cricketers, this is more than a tournament—it is a stage. Several have already graced the ILT20 stage, while others hope to carve out their name ahead of the Season 5 Player Auction on 1 Oct 2026.

Notable Names Across the Squads

KS Bharat, the wicket-keeper, features among the talent lined up for this edition. Abu Dhabi Knight Riders Development anchor their batting around Alishan Sharafu, with keeper-bat Mayank Choudhary and pacer Ibrar Ahmad—both ILT20 S4 regulars—adding steel to the lineup.

Desert Vipers Development carry the confidence of Sanjay Pahal, last year's Player of the Tournament (157 runs, 12 wickets), alongside UAE internationals Khuzaima Tanveer and Matiullah Khan, plus experienced keeper Vriitya Aravind.

The Giants have retained Haider Razzaq, last year's leading wicket-taker (16 scalps), with Aayan Afzal Khan (24 wickets in 35 ILT20 matches) lending further bite. Top runscorers Sagar Kalyan (230) and Tanish Suri (220) round out a potent attack.

Defending Champions and Bowling Depth

Sharjah Warriorz Development head into the campaign as champions, having beaten Desert Vipers in last year's final. They field Junaid Siddique (126 T20I wickets—the national side's highest) and ODI captain Harpreet Singh Bhatia.

Dubai Capitals boast a formidable bowling unit with Haider Ali and Muhammad Jawadullah, while MI Emirates build around Muhammad Waseem, the third-highest runscorer in ILT20 history (1,241 runs).

The league stage runs from 14 Sep to 22 Sep, with semifinals on 23 Sep and the final on 24 Sep. A beautiful tempo to the season ahead—watch closely, for the next great ILT20 story may well begin here.
