Matthew Hayden: Protecting Test cricket, Australia’s future challenges & chaos in Pakistan cricket!

Hayden Spills the Beans on Test Cricket's Future, CSK's Next Coach & Pakistan's Chaos

Fresh off the latest Wisden Scoop interview, Australian legend Matthew Hayden sat down with Phil Walker to dish on the big picture—Test cricket's future, the franchise cricket shake-up, and why Pakistan's still wrestling with the chaos at home.

Hayden didn't just stick to the safe answers. He threw out a name for the open CSK head coach role, giving fans something to chew on as the Chennai franchise looks to fill that crucial behind-the-scenes spot.

Then he got real about Australia's worries in the longest format. The former opener's concerns about the future of the Baggy Green in Tests are worth a listen—especially given his pedigree as one of the greatest new-ball warriors the game has ever seen.

And of course, no Hayden chat is complete without a blunt take on Pakistan cricket. He laid into the turmoil that's been holding the team back and what needs fixing.

For anyone chasing the full conversation, Wisden's got the whole episode plus live scores, match stats, video analysis and more.
