What a moment for Smriti Mandhana. The Indian batter stands on the very edge of an all-time record as India open their Asia Cup campaign against Pakistan Women.

The lineup is confirmed on the field. India come out with Shafali Verma alongside Mandhana up top, followed by Pratika Rawal, Harmanpreet Kaur (c) and Bharti Fulmali through the order. Richa Ghosh holds the gloves, with Deepti Sharma providing the spin and batting depth. The bowling attack is led by Renuka Singh Thakur, backed by the turn of Radha Yadav and the variations of Arundhati Reddy.

Pakistan reply with a strong-looking side. Muneeba Ali opens, joined by Shawaal Zulfiqar, while Nashra Sandhu and Tuba Hassan are likely to do the bowling. Fatima Sanan and Sadaf Shamas provide the batting backbone, with Momina Riasat keeping wickets.
