Duleep Trophy final Live: Sooryavanshi leads the charge as East Zone bat first

🏏 Duleep Trophy Final – East Zone bat first under the Chennai lights!

East Zone won the toss and chose to bat at MA Chidambaram Stadium, chasing their first Duleep Trophy title since 2012-13. Right now they're cruising at 61/0 after 9.1 overs, with an unbroken opening stand.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi – the teenage sensation who lit up the semifinal with a 92 – is leading the charge. He's on 36 off 27 and looking fearless, having already sent Siraj over the rope for a six. Easwaran is right alongside at 25 off 27, and the pair have reached the 50 mark in style. 🎉

The bowling attack (Siraj, Nidheesh, Tripurana Vijay) has been unable to break the stand, with the openers punishing the loose deliveries.

South Zone arrive strong too – Tilak Varma captaining after a brilliant 116 & 51* vs North, with Siraj and Padikkal freshly back from the Sri Lanka Test win. KL Rahul likely to sit out.

Special moment: Mohammed Shami is set to play his 100th first-class match in this final! 👏

Let's go East Zone! Who's your pick to lift the trophy? 💜
