‘PCB Made Absolute Fools Of Themselves’ - Imran Khan’s Sons Hit Out Over Lord’s Test Row

Imran Khan's Sons Blast PCB Over Lord's Test Field-Threat Row

The PCB have made absolute fools of themselves — that's the blunt verdict from Sulaiman and Kasim Khan, sons of former Pakistan captain and PM Imran Khan, over the board's handling of the ongoing Lord's Test vs England.

The controversy flared during the second Test when Sky Sports aired an interview with the brothers discussing their imprisoned father's declining health and prison conditions. Reports emerged that the PCB threatened to walk out and not take the field in the post-lunch session on Day 1 unless the interview was pulled.

Kasim told The Telegraph: "They made absolute fools of themselves." Sulaiman added he was shocked by the "tactless" threat, stressing the PCB had no business demanding takedown of content about a man who lived in the UK for 22 years — this was about humanitarian concerns, not politics.

Both brothers raised urgent safety flags over Khan's solitary confinement, accusing authorities of trying to "silence him as secretly as possible." But when pressed for evidence, Sulaiman pushed back: "They haven't given us proof... It's all just hearsay from government sources. The last verifiable info we had was six months ago, when he spoke about his eye having been neglected."

Chairman Mohsin Naqvi — also Pakistan's Interior Minister — is now under intense scrutiny over the whole affair.
