Pretorius and Simelane ruled out of Proteas squad for Namibia ODIs

PROTEAS LOSE TWO TO INJURIES BEFORE NAMIBIA ODIs
Slight bump in the road for SA ahead of the landmark 5-over series. Lhuandré Pretorius (right adductor) and Andile Simelane (left abdominal strain) both ruled out. The revised squad dropped today, Sep 7.
Replacements in: Corbin Bosch and Matthew Breetzke slot into the group, back to full strength. Bjorn Fortuin still steering the ship as skipper.
Series rundown: First-ever SA vs Namibia ODI triad. Opener Sep 9 at Namibia Cricket Ground, Windhoek. Then Sep 11 and Sep 13.
Background noise: Simelane only joined this tour as a Sipamla replacement during the T20I triseries leg—so he never even played an ODI here. His abdominal strain ends his run completely. Sipamla's availability for the ODIs still unconfirmed, so there's a lingering question mark there.
Original 15 (announced Aug 11): Fortuin (c), Eathan Bosch, Brevis, de Zorzi, Esterhuizen, Jordan Rubin Hermann duo, Duan Jansen, Maphaka, Mokoena, Peter, Pretorius, Sipamla, Jason Smith, Subrayen.
Final ODI squad: Fortuin (c), Eathan Bosch, Corbin Bosch, Breetzke, Brevis, de Zorzi, Esterhuizen, Jordan Hermann, Rubin Hermann, Jansen, Maphaka, Mokoena, Peter, Jason Smith, Subrayen.
Net: SA's got depth here. Brevis and the Hermann pair give the bat line some firepower. The real question is whether Simelane's exit exposes the bowling bench—Corbin Bosch picking up the slack could be telling. Watching the economy numbers from this squad closely.
