BCCI announces Associate Partners for India Home Cricket

BCCI just dropped the associate partner list for India's home season, and the numbers are worth a look. Campa, SBI Life, and—yes, literally ChatGPT—are in, locked in for two seasons from the WI series through March 2028. Combined value? ₹130+ crore, and that's a 44% jump over the last cycle.

Let me be clear—that uplift is the real story here, not just the brand names. A 44% climb in a single deal cycle signals genuine demand compression. Home cricket is pricing harder, and brands are chasing scarce inventory. That's exactly what a premium asset does when supply stays fixed.

What's interesting from a portfolio angle is the sector spread: beverage, insurance, and AI tech. It tells you the BCCI is broadening its commercial base rather than leaning on the usual sponsors. Different buyer pools, same underlying property—smart diversification of revenue risk.

Manhas and Saikia both framed it as a vote of confidence in the ecosystem, pointing to reach and engagement as the drivers. Fair enough, but the market's doing the talking: the price appreciation is the signal worth tracking into the next rights cycle.

Net take: home-season valuation is climbing on real money, not hype. Keep an eye on whether this trend carries into the sponsorship mega-deal talks—that 44% could be the floor for the next round.
