"Are You Going Home?": King Charles' Meeting With Pakistan Players Mocked By England Greats

"Are You Going Home, Your Majesty?": England Greats Roast PCB Over Pakistan Tour Chaos

Namaste, friends. There is a certain rhythm to the beautiful game — and recently, Pakistan's tour of England has been dancing out of tune, to say the least.

Seven players and two coaches, sent home. Not for misconduct, not for injury — but for plain, ordinary cricket. As Michael Vaughan put it so plainly: usually you see one or two lads sent packing for trouble in a bar, but this? This is dismissal for "just plain average cricket." A new low, indeed.

The PCB has found itself squarely in the line of fire — from England greats like Vaughan, David Lloyd, Michael Atherton, and Alastair Cook, and now also from former seamer Phil Tufnell, who called the decision "a disgrace." He spoke of being mocked himself in his day — "big ears," "bunny teeth," rockets to the moon from The Sun — but said nothing compares to telling two-thirds of a squad, mid-tour, "sorry lads, you've got to bugger off."

And here is the irony that made the panel chuckle: before these players could board their flights home, they were lined up to meet King Charles. One panellist wryly imagined the royal encounter — "Old Charlie walking down, asking, 'Are you the one going home? What have you done wrong?'"

A poetic moment, perhaps — but the melody, it seems, has gone flat for Pakistan.
