Hardik named in India A squad for Australia A home series: Gaikwad, Padikkal to lead

India A squads announced for Australia A home series — Padikkal & Gaikwad to lead 🏏

The BCCI's selection committee has dropped the India A squads for the upcoming home series against Australia A in Puducherry. Expecting a mix of multiday and oneday cricket to test our emerging talent across formats.

Multiday side led by Devdutt Padikkal (C), with Sai Sudharsan as VC. A strong batting lineup featuring Aman Mokhade, Ayush Pandey, Yash Rathod and Shaik Rasheed, with Kumar Kushagra & N Jagadeesan holding wicketkeeping duties. Shams Mulani, Tanush Kotian, Tushar Deshpande and Anshul Kamboj round out the squad.

Oneday side captained by Ruturaj Gaikwad, with Padikkal as VC. The list includes Sai Sudharsan, Rajat Patidar, Priyansh Arya, Nishant Sindhu, Arshin Kulkarni and Naman Dhir. Big one to note — Hardik Pandya included in the oneday squad, subject to fitness clearance. V Vyshak (multiday) is also fitness-dependent.

Schedule (all in Puducherry):

📅 1st Multiday: 22–25 Sep

📅 2nd Multiday: 29 Sep–2 Oct

📅 1st ODI: 6 Oct

📅 2nd ODI: 9 Oct

📅 3rd ODI: 11 Oct

A great opportunity for players to stake their claim. Who's your pick to shine in this series? 💛
