Sher-E-Punjab T20 League: Mohali Kings Defeat Bathinda Royals By Five Wickets, Seal Semi-final Berth

Mohali Kings Edge Bathinda Royals by 5 wkts to Seal SF Spot

Just another nail-biter at the I.S. Bindra Stadium, Mohali. Mohali Kings booked their place in the semifinals of the SherEPunjab T20 League with a composed 5-wicket win over Bathinda Royals.

First Innings: Bathinda batted first and nearly threw it away, collapsing to 17/2 with opener Uday Saharan among the fallen. But Harnoor Singh (43 off 36) and Gourav Choudhary (35 off 22) stitched a crucial 74-run partnership for the 3rd wicket to steady the ship. Mohali's Ayush Goyal kept things tight with the best bowling figures of 2/27. Ridham Satyawan (31 off 19) and a late blitz by Shahbaz Sandhu (38* off 23) saw Bathinda post a workable 184/6 in 20 overs.

The Chase: Chasing 185, Mohali also stumbled to 4/2 early. Anmolpreet Singh (49 off 28) and Ramandeep Singh took charge with a steady 52-run partnership for the 3rd wicket. Though Anmolpreet fell just short of his fifty, Ramandeep held his nerve and finished strong to guide the Kings home with wickets to spare.

A solid all-round display and calm navigation of early pressure made the difference. Mohali Kings are now into the semis — Bathinda's season, unfortunately, comes to an end here.
