India allotted visiting team dressing room at Arun Jaitley Stadium for Afghanistan T20I series

India to Use Away Dressing Room Against Afghanistan — First Time in Indian Cricket History

Interesting administrative twist ahead of the 3-match T20I series vs Afghanistan (starts Sept 13). Despite the fixtures sitting in New Delhi, the ACB holds official host status — making Afghanistan the "home" side on paper. Result? For the very first time, India will bat out the away dressing room at Arun Jaitley, while the Afghans take over the R Lamba room.

Why the switch? Afghanistan's home infrastructure and security situation mean they routinely stage fixtures abroad. They've hosted others in Noida, Dehradun & Lucknow before — but this is the first time the ACB gets host billing on Indian soil against India. Dressing room allocation follows the designation, period. No debate, no exceptions.

Schedule (all 3 at Arun Jaitley, 7:30 PM IST):

• 1st T20I — Sept 13

• 2nd T20I — Sept 15

• 3rd T20I — Sept 17

Straight from the logistics desk. The venue stays Indian; the host label goes Afghan. Cricket admin runs on paperwork, not geography. 🏏
