Women's Asia Cup: Harshita, Dilhari Power Sri Lanka Into Final

Women's Asia Cup Final: Sri Lanka Edge Pakistan in Dubai Thriller
Sri Lanka have punched their ticket into the Women's Asia Cup 2026 final after a gritty four-wicket win over Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium on Fri. They'll face India on Sun for the title.
Chase under pressure
Pakistan batted first and posted a modest 130/5 in their 20 overs. Fatima Sana (47*) was the anchor, steering the middle order after Pakistan slumped to 52/4. Gull Feroza (21) and Shawaal Zulfiqar (24 off 16) gave earlier support, but it wasn't enough to put Pakistan out of sight.
Sri Lanka's bowlers kept it tight—Chamari Athapaththu and Chamudi Praboda took two wickets each, with Sugandika Kumari (2/20) applying consistent pressure from the seam.
Harshita & Dilhari seal it
The run chase got off to a rocky start—Sri Lanka lost Chamari (5), Sanjana Kavindi (0) and Hasini (3) early to reach 31/3 after the Powerplay. That's when Harshita Samarawickrama (36) and Kavisha Dilhari (33) stepped up with a calm 67-run partnership to steady the ship.
They kept the scoreboard ticking and never let Pakistan's attack (Fatima Sana finished 4/38) squeeze them. Nilakshi de Silva (18*) and Kaushani Nuthyangana (10) finished it off cleanly, landing Sri Lanka at 131/4 in 18.4 overs.
Now Sri Lanka turn their attention to the Sunday showdown against India—a proper final ahead of us.
