Razaullah Heroics Deny England Quickfire Win In 3rd Test Against Pakistan

Ta ta ta… hear that rhythm? Even cricket has its music, and today at Edgbaston, Pakistan finally found their tempo after days of silence.

Razaullah's Evening Alap Saves Pakistan

With England poised to sweep the series, debutant fast bwl Razaullah walked in as the home side teetered at 318. What followed was pure jalaavi — nine sixes, an 81 off 63, and a calmness that reminded me of Dravid's legendary alap-style defence. He faced spinner Lawrence even without his helmet, launching him into the stands before being stumped for 81. The crowd rose to applaud — proper respect for artistry.

Abbas joined the crescendo, sharing a 121-run 9th wicket partnership. Together they lifted Pakistan from 318 to 439, forcing a Saturday decider. England now needs just 130 to complete the clean sweep they seemed destined for.

The Foundation

Before the fireworks, there was the thekara — the steady beat. Shan Masood (95) and captain Babar (76) guided Pakistan past 200 for the first time in the series. Awais offered 59 before Lawrence's catch broke the stand. Masood fell just short of his 8th Test ton; Babar, back from a hand injury, edged Tongue.

The Rhythm of a Dominant Series

England's dominance has been metronomic: won the first by an innings and 103, the second by 194. Pakistan, having released seven players and dismissed coach Sarfaraz Ahmed, fielded a reshuffled side. Yet this late surge proves even the most ordered composition hides a surprise taan waiting to unfold.

The final note comes tomorrow.
