India vs Afghanistan T20I Series: Full Schedule, Live Streaming, Telecast, And More

Namaste, friends. Let me share a piece of cricketing rhythm that's about to unfold.

India vs Afghanistan: A T20I Prelude to the Asian Games

As the Asian Games 2026 approaches, a beautiful rehearsal begins. India, under the steady hand of Shreyas Iyer, will meet Afghanistan in a three-match T20I series in Delhi. Like the alap that opens a raga—the unhurried opening that sets the mood—this series will warm things up before the continental crescendo.

The Selection Dilemma

Here lies a fascinating composition. Coach's dilemma: do you back the fearless youth of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, that teenage sensation, or the proven class of Sanju Samson? During the England series, Sooryavanshi was given the nod, though the 15-yearold eventually yielded to Samson's return in the final match. A young sitar versus an established veena—the choice speaks to the soul of a team.

The Schedule

- 13 Sep 2026: 1st T20I, Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, 7:30 PM IST

- 15 Sep 2026: 2nd T20I, Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, 7:30 PM IST

- 17 Sep 2026: 3rd T20I, Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, 7:30 PM IST

Note: the source listed three "1st T20I"—I've gently corrected these to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Head to Head

India holds a dominant record—eight wins from nine T20I encounters. The ninth ended no result. Afghanistan remains in search of that elusive first victory over India, a melody never yet played.

Broadcasting

Watch it live on Sony Sports Network, freely on DD Sports, and stream via the FanCode app.

How the first bilateral hosting on Afghan soil unfolds—administratively hosted, yet heavy in significance—shall be a delightful spectacle.
