IND vs AFG Live: Samson or Sooryavanshi? India face big selection call

Samson vs Sooryavanshi: India's Toughest T20I Selection Call of the Season 🏏

India step onto the pitch against Afghanistan for the 1st T20I today, and the biggest talking point sits right at the top of the order—do you trust the fearless swing of 'Boy Wonder' Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, or lean on the seasoned flair of Sanju Samson?

A Real Puzzle for the Management

Here's the drama: Sooryavanshi, the dazzling 15-year-old, earned his spot in the playing XI against England, only to eventually make way for Samson's return in the final game. Now the selectors face a genuine dilemma. Samson & Abhishek Sharma have formed a settled, reliable opening combo—but India want to experiment before locking in the squad for the Asian Games in Japan.

More Than Just a Game for Afghanistan

Let's not forget—this "home away from home" series carries huge significance for the Afghanistan Cricket Board. Broadcast revenue, gate sales, and stadium rights are expected to deliver major financial support to a board that's navigated so many challenges. Every run scored here means more than just points on the board.
