India vs Afghanistan 1st T20I Live Score: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Or Sanju Samson - Who Will Open With Abhishek Sharma?

The rhythm of a new innings — India's T20 opening puzzle

Namaste, friends. Like a raga that must begin with the right alap, so too does India's T20I side face a composition question before the 1st T20I against Afghanistan. The melody is set, but one note remains unresolved.

The central question: Who takes the edge alongside Abhishek Sharma at the top of the order — Vaibhav Sooryavanshi or Sanju Samson?

The lineup as it stands:

- Bat: Abhishek Sharma (opener?), Sooryavanshi / Samson, Ishan Kishan(wk), Shreyas Iyer, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube

- All-rounder: Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy

- Bwl: Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah (c), Yash Thakur, Ravi Bishnoi

Afghanistan's strength: A fearsome spin web. Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmad, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Nabi could test even the most composed openers. The choice at the top becomes strategic — power-hitting (Sooryavanshi) or experience and finishing (Samson).

A fascinating selection conundrum. The stadium awaits the overture. 🏏

What's your pick, community? Sooryavanshi's fire or Samson's wisdom to open?
