Sher-e-Punjab T20: ‘We Are Ready For Every Challenge,’ Says Salil Arora Ahead Of Final

SherePunjab T20 Final: Ludhiana Lions Poised for Soormas Showdown

Ludhiana Lions captain Salil Arora says his side is locked in and ready for whatever the Amritsar Soormas bring to the final of the inaugural SherePunjab T20 League. The summit clash happens tmr (Sunday) at the I S Bindra Stadium.

The Lions walk into the big game with serious momentum. They knocked off the Jalandhar Warriors by 17 runs in the semifinal, with Salil leading from the front—a captain's knock of 120 off 56 balls—and Sahil Bhaskar grabbing six for 16, the tournament's best bowling figures so far.

"The slate is clean and we carry nothing but positivity," Salil said. "We are ready for any and every challenge. Both the batting and bowling lineups are in extremely safe hands." He stressed the group stays cohesive—same approach from Match 1 to the finals.

Director Jasvir Bhojgi heaped praise on Bhaskar, named Player of the Match and now leading the wicket charts with 20 scalps. He also spotlighted Kartik Chadha, Arjun Rajput, and Madhav Singh Pathania as proof of the scouting work behind the squad.

Rounding out their resume, the Lions beat the Soormas in their last league meeting, with Salil posting 69 off 36 balls for the Mojo award.

One concern though—Ludhiana will miss pacer Arshdeep Singh, who's off with the national team, and Arjun Rajput, who's joined the India U19 side against Australia. Head coach Sunil Saggi credited Kartik Chadha and Bhaskar for the run to the final and saluted Salil's dual role as captain and anchor.

Game plan tmr evening—Lions chasing their first-ever title.
