Captain, dropped, sent home, triple ton: Salman Ali Agha just had the craziest month ever

Agha's Rollercoaster Month Ends in Triple Ton Glory
What a month it's been for Salman Ali Agha—truly the craziest of his career so far.
It all went sideways for the AR last month. Stepping up to lead Pakistan in Babar Azam's absence against England at Headingley, Agha's tenure got off to a rough start—Pakistan fell by an innings and 103 runs. He was then dropped for the Lord's second Test (lost by 194), and in a kneejerk move, PCB sent Agha and six others home in controversial fashion. Despite reshuffling the squad and playing XI, the whitewash was sealed as Pakistan lost the third Test by eight wickets.
But rather than let it define him, the 32-year-old went straight back to domestic cricket and answered with a statement.
Against Markhor IT Solutions in the President's Trophy Grade I, Agha smacked a magnificent unbeaten 300 off 336 balls—42 fours and six sixes. Popping in at No. 5 with Kingsmen Academy already on 72/3, he completely turned the game on its head. His fourth-wicket partnership of 274 with Mohammad Suleman (115) was the real game-changer, and he then added a further 118 with Mohammad Shayan (34) before the men declared on a monstrous 5657.
Fittingly, this came in his very first first-class triple ton—he'd never even reached a double century before, best being 169.
Markhor fought back through opener Mohammad Farooq's quickfire 107* (95 balls, 11 fours, five sixes), ending Day two on 179/3 after 31 overs, still trailing by 386 runs.
Talk about a redemption arc. 🏏
