AFG vs IND – 2nd T20I Preview: India Eye Series Win in Delhi

Hey cricket fam 🏏

India take a commanding 10-run lead into the 2nd T20I against Afghanistan, following a dominant 7-wkt win in the opener. Let's break it down.

Opener Recap:

Afghanistan were in trouble early, reduced to 43/5 inside the Powerplay. Azmatullah Omarzai (64*) and Mohammad Nabi dug in with an 83-run stand, but the total of 156/8 just wasn't enough. Arshdeep Singh led the attack with 39 wickets, Bumrah struck early on his return, and Axar + Varun added crucial wickets. In the chase, Abhishek Sharma turned it into a one-sided affair with a rapid 82 off 32 balls (7x4, 7x6), supported by Ishan Kishan's 42. India reached 157/3 in just 13.4 overs.

Key Storylines for Tuesday:

- Afghanistan must survive India's new-ball attack – Gurbaz went for a duck in the 1st over. Their top order needs to build a platform for Rashid Khan, Omarzai & Nabi.

- India face a selection dilemma: Abhishek's explosion strengthens his case up the order, while Sanju Samson (just 10) comes under scrutiny. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi could sneak back in.

- Team update: Harshit Rana ruled out (rectus femoris strain), Yash Thakur in as replacement.
