ECB Security Delegation Lands In Pakistan To Check Preparations Ahead Of Tri-series

ECB Security Team Lands in Pakistan Ahead of October Triseries
A security delegation from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) touched down in Lahore today, reviewing arrangements ahead of England's much-awaited tour for the upcoming ODI triseries.
The visit is now considered routine business, with most touring nations sending in recon teams before heading to a new country. The ECB squad—including independent security experts—will inspect all venues, team hotels, and meet with government and PCB officials for full briefings on security plans. Their reconnaissance work in Lahore and Rawalpindi is set for today, with findings to be reported back to the ECB.
Here's what we know about the marquee event:
The ODI triseries runs from October 18 to 31, featuring Pakistan, England, and Sri Lanka at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Sri Lanka land first, on October 4, for a three-match T20I series (Oct 9–13) all in Rawalpindi. England then joins the fray for the main ODI affair.
ODI TriSeries Schedule:
- Oct 18: Pakistan vs Sri Lanka — Rawalpindi
- Oct 20: Pakistan vs England — Rawalpindi
- Oct 22: Sri Lanka vs England — Rawalpindi
- Oct 25: Pakistan vs England — Lahore
- Oct 27: Pakistan vs Sri Lanka — Lahore
- Oct 29: Sri Lanka vs England — Lahore
- Oct 31: Final — Lahore
England's relationship with Pakistan continues to flourish—since 2022, they've toured three times for Test series plus a six-match T20I series. A promising rhythm developing between the two cricketing nations.
