ICC T20I Rankings: Shree Charani Crosses Historic 800-Point Mark; Shafali Verma Returns To Top 6

Asia Cup Glory Sparks Big ICC T20I Ranking Moves for Indian Women
India's record eighth Women's Asia Cup title has translated into real rewards in the latest ICC Women's T20I rankings. Two names stand out: Shree Charani and Shafali Verma.
Charani makes history
Charani's spell of 4/20 in the final vs Sri Lanka at Dubai pushed her past the 800-point mark for the first time, to a career-best 804. That's the highest rating ever by an Indian in either discipline, beating Mithali Raj's 780 from 2011. She's now just 2 points behind Megan Schutt's all-time women's T20I record (Nov 2018). Worth noting from a workload standpoint—consistent high-level spin output like this is exactly what we want to protect long-term.
Deepti Sharma climbed 4 spots to No.2 after finishing as tournament's leading wicket-taker with 14. Seamer Nandani Sharma jumped 10 to 94, while legspinner Prema Rawat made a massive 50-spot leap to 96. Nandani was particularly tight, leaking just 4.64 runs/over.
Verma back in the mix
Shafali Verma rose from 7th to 6th in the bat rankings with 741 points (highest since Oct 2021). She was Asia Cup's top run-scorer with 236, including 64 in the semi and 68 in the final. Just one place and 4 points behind teammate Smriti Mandhana (5th, 745, with 213 in 5 innings). Verma also hit a career-best 221 in the all-rounder list, up 5 to 15th.
Others on the move
Sri Lanka's Nilakshika Silva (108 runs) nudged to 44th, while captain Chamari Athapaththu (7/5 vs Indonesia, 12 wickets overall) rose to 27th with the ball and holds 3rd in the all-rounders.
Elsewhere, South Africa's Anneke Bosch was the week's biggest mover after a blistering run—83 off 43 and 65 off 31 in Bulawayo—surging 323 places to 54th.
Solid tournament, solid rankings. 👏
