Four 100s and four fifties in 10 matches: A Pakistan stalwart is quietly enjoying the form of his life

Fakhar Zaman Quietly Cooking With The Best – Four 100s, Four Fifties In 10 Matches
The left-handed opener is in the form of his life, and he's doing it all without much fuss. In his last 10 appearances across formats, Fakhar Zaman has notched up four centuries and four fifties – a purple patch that's impossible to ignore.
He's currently lighting up the President's Trophy Grade-I for Khan Research Laboratories, blasting 128 and 77 across two innings to extend his golden run. But this rich vein of form didn't happen overnight.
It kicked off at the back end of the PSL, where he slammed three fifties and a ton in his last four games for Lahore Qalandars – scores of **84, 103, 61\* and 58\*** before the Qalandars bowed out in the league stage.
He then carried that momentum into the National Champions Cup in August for Pakistan Greens, smashing 269 runs in three matches with two centuries, enough to take home the Player of the Series award.
Now he's translated that touch into red-ball cricket, adding 205 runs across two innings in the opening President's Trophy game.
The 36-year-old hasn't featured for Pakistan in whiteball formats for months – his last cap came at the T20 World Cup in February, where he played just three of the matches before fitness concerns flared up. He missed the Bangladesh ODI series and the Australia red-ball and whiteball campaigns in May-June, but has been busy regaining full fitness through domestic cricket.
With Pakistan's selection headache still unsolved and next year's ODI World Cup on the horizon, this golden run could see Fakhar back in the squad and back in the conversation.
Keep an eye on this man – the form's real, and it's here to stay.
