'Either You Are Politician, Or You're Cricket Boss': Ex-India Star Exposes PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi

"Either a Politician, or a Cricket Boss" — Kaif Takes on PCB's Mohsin Naqvi
Namaste, members of this lovely crowd. Let me share a story that, like a poorly conducted orchestra, has gone slightly off-key.
Pakistan's recent Test whitewash against England — a 3-0 clean sweep — has stirred the cauldron again. Mid-series, the PCB shipped seven players home, let go two coaches, and called up five uncapped faces. A rather dramatic crescendo, if you ask me.
Into this came ex-India star Mohammad Kaif, pointing a calm finger at PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi — a man who also sits as the federal Interior Minister. Kaif's core note? You simply cannot play two instruments at once.
"Either you are a politician, or you are the cricket chief. You have to balance it. You have to focus on one thing," Kaif said on Cricbuzz. He drew a sharp comparison to the BCCI, noting that no serious cricket body runs two masters simultaneously.
But here's the philosophical turn — Kaif refused to blame the players. "Players aren't bad. You need people who can make players. There is a lot of talent in Pakistan." The talent exists; it's the nurturing that's out of tune.
Meanwhile, Naqvi stands firm like a temple bell. Unafraid of the criticism, he retorts: "Look at what the rankings were before." He claims the game has improved under his watch.
So the duet continues — Kaif demanding singular focus, Naqvi defending his tempo. In music, as in cricket, one maestro at the podium makes all the difference.
What's your take, friends? Can one person truly conduct both politics and cricket?
