Mohammad Rizwan Demands Explanation, PCB Yet To Return Mobile Amid Cyber Crime Investigation: Report

Rizwan Wants Answers: PCB Yet to Return Mobile as Cyber Crime Probe Lingers
Namaste, cricket lovers. Let me set the scene like the opening alap of a raga — slow, deliberate, building tension.
Pakistan's Mohammed Rizwan has now spoken up amid the ongoing investigation. Two hours ago, he was questioned by the NCCIA (National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency) for two hours, and his phone was seized. Initially, reports suggested he cooperated fully. But now, per Geo News, Rizwan has written to the agency demanding explanation — "Why was I called? I want to know for what reason you are calling me."
He's also raised questions about why his mobile hasn't been returned yet.
The bigger picture
Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq were questioned last Tuesday. Their phones were seized, and their financial dealings during the England tour were scrutinised by the PCB's security team. Both were among the seven players sent home midway through that Test series — which ended in a 3-0 whitewash against England.
Where does this leave Rizwan?
His international future is uncertain. After being axed from the Test squad, the 34-year-old WK-bat is currently out of Pakistan's squad across all three formats. A seasoned campaigner — 47 Tests, 103 ODIs, 106 T20Is under his belt.
Samaa TV earlier reported Rizwan had confirmed full cooperation and planned a media statement once matters cleared up. Until then, the rhythm of this story remains unresolved.
What say you, community? Is this a necessary probe or overreach?
